Our purpose at the International Baptist
Church is to know God
intimately and to make Him known around the
world. We feel that God has called us to be a light to the nations. (Mathew
5:14-16).
To accomplish this purpose, we follow
the Great Commandment and Great Commission. Jesus said, "Love the Lord
your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your
might. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it,
Love your neighbour as yourself." (Matthew
22:37-39). He also said, "... go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20).
These are four basic ministries of International Baptist Church:
- WORSHIP: honoring God with a life worship
- WITNESS: telling a world in need about
Christ
- WORD: growing deeper by hearing and doing
- WORKS: serving each other with the love of
God
